Margaret “Maggie” Hayes spent more than three decades engineering moisture-wicking performance fabrics for athletes who had to stay cool under pressure. But the project that changed everything did not begin on a track, a trail, or a professional training field. It began in her own Phoenix bedroom, during the kind of hot desert night when ordinary cotton sheets turn damp, heavy, and frustratingly warm.
Maggie realized the problem was not simply the room temperature. The problem was the fabric touching the skin. Cotton absorbs sweat and holds it close. Polyester can trap heat and feel slick in the wrong way. So Maggie took the same cooling-fiber principles she had used in high-performance sports textiles and adapted them into a softer, silkier sheet set made for real sleep.
What makes Maggie’s GlacierLoft Cooling Sheet Set special?
The difference starts with Maggie’s Pure Cooling Innovation approach. The fabric is designed around a Thermal Wicking Matrix, a weave concept intended to help disperse warmth rather than hold it under the covers. It also uses Capillary Cooling Channels, which are structured to help pull moisture away from the body and release it across the sheet surface, so hot sleepers can feel cooler, drier, and more comfortable through the night.
The surface feels smooth and luxurious, almost silk-like, but without the fragile upkeep associated with silk bedding. It drapes beautifully, resists wrinkles better than standard cotton, and gives the bed the clean, elevated look of a boutique hotel suite. The cool-to-the-touch feel is especially appealing for menopausal women, people in hot climates, couples with thermostat disagreements, and anyone who wakes up flipping the pillow for the “cold side.”
Unlike shallow fitted sheets that snap off thick mattresses, this set is made with extra deep pockets to fit modern pillow-top, hybrid, memory foam, and euro-top beds.
